Federal Trade Program

Canada, with the federal and provincial programs, has led to its high immigration rates and high influx of new immigrants every year. The economic opportunities and superior education are the prime factors which have made Canada a preferred destination amongst immigrants. The Federal Skilled Trades Program is for people who are qualified trade workers and wish to migrate to Canada permanently. Developed in 2013, the Federal Skilled Trades Program now runs through the Canadian Express Entry system.

Eligibility Criteria for FSTC

There are several factors that govern an applicant’s eligibility for the program. In order to qualify for the Permanent Residence (PR) Visa under FSTC, the aspirant must meet the following conditions:

Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) For Immigration To Qubec

The Quebec immigration selection system focuses on identifying candidates with a potential to become economically established in Qubec. The system of assessment for applicants (who ought to be skilled workers) wishing to reside in any city or region within the province of Quebec differs from the one designed for assessing those who wish to settle elsewhere in Canada.

Quebec's Expression of Interest System

In a bid to streamline the processing of QSWP applications, a new Expression of Interest System for Qubec was implemented with effect from August 2, 2018. Under the new system, the first step in the application process for immigration to the province of Qubec will be a declaration by interested individuals expressing their interest in applying to the program which entails entering a profile in the Quebec Expression of Interest Bank.

Quebec Skilled Worker Program Eligibility

A Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) is issued to applicants who are successful under QSWP. Such applicants can then apply to the Government of Canada for permanent residence. Thereafter, as part of the approval process, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will conduct a medical and criminal background check.
